Footnotes from Peter:
Chirico side - Grandpa Peter (Pietro) was a laborer at a cemetery. He came to Ellis Island in 1913 aboard Ancona Vessel that departed from Naples Italy. His birthplace is Castelmorrone in the province of Caserta in the region of Campania which is about 4 miles from Naples. Also noted that his birthplace might also be Pizzo Calabria, southern Italy. His last place of residence was in Castelnuovoni, Italy
Grandma Teresa's real Italian name was Teresangela or Teresina Civitello. It was later changed to Teresa. She was born on 3/9/1896. Birthplace is Cusano Mutri, Benevento Campania, Italy. She was a housewife.
Anthony or Uncle Tony was a cook in the Army and after that he opened his small grocery store and butcher shop in Allentown section of New Haven making his own sausages and meats for sale. Uncle Ralph was a clerk for a fruit/produce on the Long Wharf area railroad receiving docks. Dad (John) and Aunt Josephine were still in school.

Mother's side: Concetta Anna Carmucci
Parents: Alphonse Carmucci (shoemaker) / Grace Caprini
Siblings: Angelo, Josephine, Anthony, Concetta, Joseph, Angela, Grace, Frances, Dolores
Footnotes from Teresa:
Carmucci side - Angelo was born in Italy and came to the US as an adult. He was married with children. After a year or two he went back to Italy because he did not like it here. Josephine was born in South America because their father was a sailor and went there before they came to the US. Their father was a shoemaker.
Concetta (our mom), was raised by an Aunt & Uncle who had no children. Our mom was sickly and her parents did not have enough money to pay for her medical needs.
Vincent Boragina was our mother's Uncle. I can't remember the Aunt's first name. She died and he went to Italy and brought back a young wife .
The new wife took over and my mother & father left the store in New Haven they helped him run and never saw him again. I was around 5, just before Peter was born and we bought a house in West Haven and dad got a job at Food Basket (later bought by Stop & Shop.)
Peter's siblings: Teresa, Joann
(It has been an old Italian tradition that the names of the first son and first daughter are named after the grandparents.) Grandpa Pietro changed his first name to Peter shortly after he arrived at Ellis Island.
